PARTICIPATION OF FOREIGN TEAMS for the Brazilian Tour

 Regarding the new FIVB Regulation on the participation of foreign teams in NATIONAL CIRCUITS, the Brazilian National Circuit may have up to 02 (two) foreign teams since the following aspects are observed:


1. A maximum of 02 (two) entries for men’s category and 02 (two) entries for women’s category will be allowed in each tournament of the Brazilian National Circuit;

2. The foreign teams can participate only in 02 (two) tournaments of the Circuit;

3. The foreign teams will be qualified directly to the Main Draw. The competition format used will be double elimination – from 24 teams in the men’s category and 16 teams in the women’s category;

4. The costs with international and domestic transportation, lodging and meals will be under the player’s responsibility;

5. The prize money will be paid in REAL (Brazilian currency) on Monday – immediately after the end of the tournament.


ENTRY PROCEDURE
1. The foreign teams interested in participating in the Brazilian National Circuit have to forward the entries through their Nation Federation;

2. All entries must be faxed to the Brazilian Volley-Ball Confederation (55.21.2507-7170, voleidepraia@voleibrasil.com) 30 days before any leg of the 2002 Brazilian National Circuit;

3. If the number of entries exceeds 02 (two), only the 02 (two) best ranked teams in the FIVB Ranking will be allowed to participate.

The Prize Money of each event will be:

 Men Open Tournament : R$ 94.925,00 (aprox US$ 40000)
Women Open Tournament : R$ 65.786,00 (aprox US$ 27000)
Men/Women(each) Open Challegers : R$ 30.906,00; (aprox US$ 13000)
